I Also Want TSUYA Skin

Shu Uemera's new product caught my eyes. I have to say the tagline for this marketing definitely works and most important, my guts feel just tell me this is something different.

In Japanese, Tsuya means Ideal Skin. Shu Uemera has found that 'ideal' skin comes down to 6 key paremeters: smoothness, proelessness, translucence, even tone, fine texture and good colour. They then created this serum which aims to work like a power switch to turn on your skin.

They have tested on real women and the results they got was impressive:

After 7 days:

100% of women feel their skin is softer

I have used Shu Uemera's skin care in the past and was never impressed. They are wonderful but not great. I think they are a champion in make-up but I can find better skin care which works for my skin. However, I feel that TSUYA might make a difference. I use the word 'might' because I personally have not tested the product and I'll review it again soon after I tried the samples.

Recommended in a Japan Beauty Magazine as the "Best Cleanser of the Cleansers" this is one good product you should pick up if you come across when you are travelling in Seoul.

With texture as smooth as sherbet, this make up remover remover melts on your skin upon application and removes all traces of makeup including waterproof eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. It is gentle on the skin as it contains only natural ingredients. Your skin will feel moisturized and not irritated.

You just need to apply 1-2 scoops of the products and gently massage onto your face. Wipe clean with a piece of cotton cloth or tissue. Wash your face after with water. That is it!

Very convenient and very your face will feel very fresh thereafter.

Can't really remember the price but it should cost around SGD15-18 for one bottle which should be able to last you 2 - 3 months for daily use.

Laneige White Plus Renew Purifying Mask

My cousin told me to get this when I was in Seoul. She said: The reviews said you can see result after one use!

I was totally bought into her sales talk, actually she didn't even need to convince me because I love Laneige's Hydrating Masks!! One of the best ever!! I have faith in their products!

This is one of the latest products from Laneige. It claims to present you with brighter skin with only one time of mask. It uses enzymes to exfoliate surface dead skin cells thus promoting skin turnover to smoothen and brighten rough skin.

Honestly, I didn't see the effect after first usage BUT when I used it again 2 days later, my face was clearly brightened and it lasted for days!! It also makes my skin softer. The Laneige girl told me I should use this twice a week.

This mask is also perfect for travelling. It is packed in a box of 8 small plastic jar and one jar can be used up to 3 times i think. But because I splashed it generously over my face and neck, I can only use up to 2. It costs $62 for a box.

This is a definitely must-have in every girl's skin care routine!

Clio Gel Pencil Liner

This caught my eyes in Watsons a couple of weeks ago when I saw the lady tagging the price tag onto the products. I thought, how interesting this is, gel liner in a pencil!! No longer need to carry bottle out with me (gel liner is mostly in bottle). And so I told myself to look out for it when I was in Seoul. It costs about $20 in Singapore and $12 in Seoul.

I bought the purple liner and tested it today!

Clio Gel liner is endorsed by Lee Hyori and the effect is certainly not like this as seen in this photo.

The liner didn't really stay and the colour is not intensed enough. It certainly didn't widen up my eyes nor flattered them. In fact, after about 6 hours of application, I decided to use my Kate Gel Liner to draw over it!

But that's because I like eyes that are really intensed! And with intensed colour I also meant they have to 'last!' This is not exactly my perfect liner as it doesn't really last.But the beautiful colours available somehow made up for this. So if you are one of those who doesn't need intense liner, this might be the one for you. Play with the colours at least :)

My Favourite BB Cream

I have a love/hate affair with BB cream, simply because I'm not really into all-in-one product and BB cream tends to be 'many' shades lighter than your skin color, making you look like scary snow white!

My most recent trip to Seoul gets me started on BB cream again. If you have not heard of the Snail Therapy, it's never too late. Snail extracts has hit Korea since last year and has gained wide popularity among women in Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Though it has been used in European cosmetics since 1995 and a Chilean cosmetic company has invented a Snail cream, it only took Asia by storm lately.

My buddy and myself went to Seoul with a Japan Beauty Guide book and in it, most of the number one sellers and the MUST-BUY are the Snail Therapy series.

I bought quite a few lines but have not got down to using it yet....Today, I tried the Nature Republic Snail Therapy BB Cream and it is awesome!!

Snail Slime is said to cure a variety of ills, from acne, wrinkles, whitening, scars to collagen stimulation. Every Korea cosmetic brands has their own range of Snail products, The Saem and Nature Republic being the top sellers and Must-buy in the Japanese Beauty Guide book.

This BB cream from Nature Republic comes with a puff which makes application easier.

It contains SPF30 and 50% of Snail Mucin which moisturizes the skin. After it oxidizes, my face actually looks matt and smooth! Something which I have never achieved before with other BB cream, international brands and Korean Brands inclusive. I was using Lancome BB cream before this and it's actually bad for our weather. My face got oily pretty soon and it didn't give me a very good 'make-up' look.

I like how I look after it settles down and  when I touch my face, it is so smooth and I can barely feel anything there.

Sadly, I think Nature Republic has closed down in Singapore. So when you travel next time, look out for it...

Beauty From Within

I've been drinking Brand's Innershine Berry's Essence and Prune Plus Essence on a daily basis for the past three months and totally adore them...

This consists of seven premium berries and is an excellent source of antioxidant which neutralize harmful free radicals in the body and prevent degeneration of eye cells! 

My eyes are not so dry after taking them and they are definitely less tiring.

The Prune Essence is one's natural way to radiant skin. Made from quality California prunes, this promotes overall inner well-being through intestinal health, thus improving one's bowel system, resulting in clearer skin.

I realized more frequent bowel movement for myself after taking this and my friends did comment that my skin is more radiant...

I Love Eyeliner!

I love eyeliner. My eyes are non-existence without eyeliner. I've been applying eyeliner since I was 14. Yes, I applied eyeliner to school. Getting caught by principal is a weekly issue (she'll be standing at the staircase leading to all the classes) but I still can't live without it!

I've tried all sorts of liner, pencil, liquid and gel! And my favourite at this present moment, for gel liner, is Kate's Gel Liner.

I discovered this in Japan and bought to try and now I owned almost all colours! The brush that comes with it is one of the best and easiest brush to use! It even comes with a cap so it's perfect for travelling! The gel itself came in a small little bottle which spells convenice. Most gel liners only stay matte for around 2-3 hours without smudging but this stays on my eye the whole day!!! I brought it to test recently during my spinning and body combat class, it smudges but not under-eyes, it just got lighter! I guessed I sort of wiped them away when i was wiping away my perspiration).

This, is the holy grail of all gel liners!! And the best part is, it is cheap... just head to watsons and sasa :)

Get Brightened Up!

A good base is the key to lasting and beautiful make up.

I have used several base before, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Sofina and now, I like this:

I never feel for Shiseido because the counter girls are always so aunty! And their make up is not very attractive. Yes, I judge the brand by the girls representing them. Well, image sells, isn't it?

Not until my cousin introduced this to me last year she went:  "you must try!! My friends said my face brightens up immediately when I apply this!" Anyway, I was looking for another base at that time so I don't mind trying. And it is indeed nice!

I don't know if my face really brightens up or not because I used a lot of brightening stuffs but I know my make up do stay one whole day (i only need to pat the occassional oil from my nose and forehead) and my skin doesn't look dull at all towards the end of the day!

Oh ya, get it from DFS it cost around $50+ if I am not wrong (it cost $75 in the city).

Looking Good though Barely There

Everyone should love Bare Minerals. It is one of the best products that I have ever discovered. Why?

Because it is a liquid foundation in loose powder form!! Yes!! It is a two-in-one!! Everyone loves how convenient 2 way powder  is but with constant use of 2 way powder, one's skin tends to get drier and drier.....ask any counter girls when you go shopping, everyone will agree with you. 

I was skeptical about Bare Minerals at first. It is just like any normal loose powder. How much coverage can it give you? Are you sure I don't need to apply liquid foundation? What about concealer? Do I need to at least apply that so my face looks more 'made-up?'

I bought my Bare Minerals while I was in the States last year and only tried using it recently. I decided to put it to test when I attended a luncheon wedding and it passed with flying colors!! Not only did my make-up stays, it looks very matte! It is as if I've 2 way powder on! Yes, the coverage is that good!

The best part? It is minerals! Mineral make-up won't harm your skin, even if you leave it overnight (of course I'm not going to!). It is preservative and chemical free and it is designed to enrich your skin. It is also very simple to apply. All you need is a good brush, swirl your brush and pick up some powder and you just start swirling it on your face!!

It Does Work But Only If You Are...

I tried Izen on my thighs today, particularly the inner thigh, everyone's biggest problem other than tummy...the result is fabulous. After just about 3mins on each side, 1cm was down for each circumference!

I didn't zap my tummy today because I had Nasi Lemak for supper! At 11pm! So I do not want to upset my stomach.

Was talking to J just now and she told me that she uses Izen at her back. For some people,  part of your flesh will protrude if you wear your brasserie and she said the result for that particular section was awesome!

After about 3 days of using izen on my tummy I can feel my tummy less wobbly! So I can totally feel her excitement.

But don't expect Izen to turn yourself into a super model ( as seen from the ad). Izen does work but only if you are realistic. It is an awesome product to firm up that certain stubborn flabby part of your body!!

Zap Zap Zen

My Izen finally arrived!! This is how it looks like....

To maximise effect, I am going to use this with slimming cream. I bought my 2B slimming cream from Hong Kong in January and it's time to 'open ceremony.' 

I applied about 10cent coin circumference to 3 parts of my tummy, left right and middle and the cream absorbed into the skin almost instantaneously. It feels 'hot' rightaway!! One thing good about the 2B cream, there is no 'chilli' in the ingredients which usually appears in other slimming cream and you might hurt your eyes accidentally. 


I then put the izen to work (soooo ticklish!! - no pain at all!!)  and did only about 5-7mins of 'circling' around my tummy area and at the end of the session I measured myself again the upper tummy is 2cm smaller!! This is amazing. I'm going to use it continuously for a week and I'll report back again! Stay Tuned!

How Far Can This Go

I just bought this izen slimmer from gmarket a week ago and it is finally arriving today! I am giving this a try because one of my friends is raving about it. She's a firm supporter for this product, but of course she has been using it faithfully for days without stopping! I shall let you know how it works on me before you start to spend on this! Stay tune!
